This
cover is for Candy Marketer Magazine,
a trade journal for the candy marketing industry.
My Personal highlights
for this project were, coming up with the concept and art
directing the cover. I wrapped the candy in dollar bills to tie the idea
of buying with candy for the annual buyers guide issue. I worked with
the editorial team presenting sketches of different compositions, until
we decided on the direction.
This Cover was designed while working at Advanstar Communications Inc.
We worked as teams at Advanstar. The teams were composed of editorial,
publishing and design staff.
The client is considered both the reader and the editor. My objective
was to come up with a concept that would speak to the reader and help
the editor visually communicate the idea of the written story.
Objectives:
• Visually portray the special Buyer’s Guide issue
• Understand target reader
• Easy readability
• Create intrigue and interest for reader
